If you do, then the JPC series of carriers is probably not for you. Not everything is standard about the cummerbund, however. This isn’t a long range recce plate carrier; compromises have been made in that respect in order to make it compact and JUMPABLE. These don’t require Fastex clips.

It’s meant to be more scalable and modular than the original JPC – combining some of the gold standard AVS’ features – and I think it does a good job of that. The list is updated as more reviews are published. got in a trade a crye JPC size medium. Sorry about the budget optic but training>gear anyway.

The civilian market gets confusing because the 10x12 standard doesn't line up with a SAPI size. I purchased 2 RMA 1155 plates measuring 10”x12” and 1” thick, website states it is SAPI cut. I am about 5'7" with 41" chest and the site sizing recommends a Large...is this a bad idea given my height? After searching for an hour or two on what size JPC to get, I haven’t been able to find a definitive answer. However, this gives me a solid fit in just a T-shirt; the bungee lattice stretching when further layers are worn.

The ride height of the carrier is controlled at the shoulder straps as usual and for this purpose the straps are a two part affair, secured with Velcro. If it is the latter, I would sell the large and get a medium JPC and you can expand the cummerbund through the back to the outer limits.

I know, another JPC post, I apologize. For my placard, I’ve added a Spiritus Systems Micro Fight chest rig. However, you do lose the One-Wrap style routing loops of the standard JPC – if you like that aspect.
But, for those who prefer a middle of the road (in a good way) stripped-down carrier, the JPC 2.0 may strike just the right balance between light weight, ventilation and comfort. I currently have PPI/CPC level 4 stand alone plates that are pretty thick and cut a bit different than standard SAPI plates. It wasn’t until 2015 that Crye launched the JPC 2.0 – again recorded by SSD: It was an instant hit, giving users some of the versatility of the Crye AVS but in a more stripped down package. Question. I would guess many people first saw the JPC on Soldier Systems Daily (SSD) in this report.

When you say 10" x 12" and Medium, are you referring to the generic 10" x 12" sizing or true Medium SAPI sizing. However, I’m just on the edge of the cummerbund sizing (the medium comes with a S/M cummerbund). It won't fit exactly right in a JPC, and the JPC doesn't have any extra straps or velcro to support an odd sized plate. Most companies design their mediums to carry 10x12 as it's becoming very standard for LEO and civilian market. The AirLite Skeletal Cummerbund is composed of a webbing sandwich containing a hidden stiffener.
Terminating at front and rear plate bags with a Hypalon-type material, the shoulder straps pivot and conform well with movement. It sounds like a medium carrier would fit these plates, given that many people say 10”x12” plates are typically a little smaller that that by about half of an inch, and according to bulletproofme.com medium sapis measure 9.5”x12.5”.

Like the JPC, the JPC 2.0 is sized by the wearer’s plate size. It terminates at the front plate bag with a JPC 2.0-specific webbing handle, because it is part of the 2.0 emergency doff (e-doff) system. Currently placed an order for a medium JPC 1.0 to get in line as lead times are 12-16 weeks, but now I’m second guessing myself thinking that a medium will not fit those size plates.
