over a year ago. I had instant diarrhoea(about3 mins after eating a tomato with skin on) . I’ll miss my green tea but I’m happy to have found a relatively easy solution. Recently I started having stomach pains, and not exactly diarrhea but what I will describe as leakage. I am an absolutely new man. I can tolerate anything else with caffeine – just not coffee.

A severe allergic reaction to milk can be life-threatening. I volunteer at a local museum and I commented that my stomach was hurting the other week and my covolunteer said that I always say that and maybe something is wrong. I doubt that caffeine created my problem as I drink lots of tea and tea does not affect me.

Is there any way to prevent this from happening? Nothing stopped the diarrhea. I had no problems for years, but eventually my bowels gave in to the abuse, and I got IBS with symptoms bad enough to put me in hospital first time I had it.

I used to like expresso :). For some people tea won’t cause as many diarrhea problems.

If you consume something and you get the “runs”, you should stop consuming it. All of that extra bile can upset your stomach and it can cause diarrhea as your system becomes unsettled. Then I’d try tea the same way. Sometimes something as simple as consuming milk or milk products with another type of food will counteract lactose intolerant symptoms. I’m not doin’ it though. In the past I drank coffee occasionally now & then in the morning with just sugar added only.
